SUPER LAVENDER
Lavandula angustifolia x Lavandula latifolia
DESCRIPTION
This hybrid of true and spike lavender grows at low altitude.
ADVICE
Children must not be present during its diffusion. It should only be administered orally under medical guidance. Essential oil of super lavender must be applied diluted to the skin.
DO NOT USE IN
– pregnant or breast-feeding women,
– children under the age of 7 years,
– persons allergic to one of the components (camphor, linalool),
– or in persons suffering from asthma without the advice of an allergologist.
RECIPES
Preparation for effort
mix 5 drops of essential oil of super lavender + 2 drops of essential oil of gaultheria in one teaspoon of carrier oil and massage the muscles.
Relaxation
one drop of essential oil of super lavender on the wrists or solar plexus, 2 to 3 times per day, during stressful periods.
Muscle Cramps
30 drops of essential oil of super lavender + 30 drops of ginger, mixed with 20 ml macerated arnica oil (generally found under the name of “arnica carrier oil”).
It is cultivated in France, Italy and Spain. As a general rule and depending on the variety, the yield of hybrid lavenders may be up to ten times higher than that of true lavender.

Monoterpenols (linalool), terpene esters (linalyl acetate), monoterpene ketones (camphor), terpene oxides (1,8-cineol or eucalyptol).

Flowering tops.
YIELD
2 to 3 kg of essential oil from 100 kg of plants.
EQUIVALENCE
1 ml -> 29 drops
(dose calculated for a dropper calibrated according to the European Pharmacopoeia).
MAIN PROPERTIES OF THE ESSENTIAL OIL
It is mainly relaxing, spasmolytic and muscle relaxant. As such, super lavender is a choice ally to relieve stress, contractures and cramps, particularly as it possesses local analgesic and anaesthetic properties. It is also an effective skin anti-infectious agent.
